Jilleen Barrett is the Director of Marketing and Communications at The Bronx Economic Development Corporation. Jilleen got her degree in communication from Manhattan College — where her love for The Bronx originated — in 2023.
At the BXEDC, Jilleen runs the corporation’s social media accounts which focus on promoting tourism in The Bronx. She also runs the monthly newsletter and contributes to the corporation’s column with The Bronx Times.
Prior to joining the team, Jilleen interned and freelanced for magazines such as America, POZ, Rewire News Group, Scary Mommy, Elite Daily and more. Outside of her work life, Jilleen continues to write articles for magazines on a freelance basis.
